The Rundown Shrine is a miniature dungeon your players might encounter in the wild. It's the shrine of a long forgotten deity. Outside the shrine are a number of earth elementals, tasked with protecting the shrine from thieves. The interior features some stone platforms above a pool of water. The water is infested with swarms of quippers! so try not to fall in. There is a small platform in the first room connecting the entryway with the door, but as the shrine is very old, this platform will collapse when jumped on! better hope you can pass a dexterity saving throw. The door bears no handle, but the stone statues sticking out of the water provide a clue. They depict two mages casting spells towards the stone door. The door is detailed with a starburst design. Once any spell is cast on the door, it will disappear, allowing passage through. This will bring the players into the shrine room. Attentive adventurers will notice the door to their left that bears a striking resemblance to the door they just passed through, down to the same starburst marking. Casting a spell on this door will also make it disappear, revealing a side chamber where some extra treasure can be found.
