The Fantastic Trove: Mighty Treasures and Fearsome Foes

The Fantastic Trove is a fairy tale themed collection of Legendary Creatures, New Magic Items, Useful Tables for DMs, and Alternative Rule options. It is meant to help add fantastical elements to the game. In total, the Fantastic Trove includes:

• 10 New Legendary Creatures, ranging between CR 4 and CR 30

• Lair Action Compendium, a table of lair actions that can be applied to any creature for a more dynamic battle

• Environmental Event Compendium, a table of environmental events, similar to lair actions, to change up the dynamic of a fight for all creatures involved

• Table of 50 Fairy Tale Trinkets,

• Quest Hook Catalogue, a list of quest hooks that can be used for sidequests, one-shots, or whole campaigns

• 36 New Magic Items of all rarities.

• Optional Rule for Armor Materials, armor made from different materials have different beneficial effects; 21 materials listed

• Optional Rule for Weapon Materials, weapons made from different materials have different beneficial effects; 15 materials listed

Some of my favorite highlights from the Fantastic Trove include the Vile Hag, a legendary hag creature who derives joy in gaining power over others, and uses her Concentrated Cast ability to cast incredibly powerful spells once per day.

The Book of Sealed Souls is a Very Rare magic item listed in the book that can imprison the souls of other creatures, allowing them to be released at a later time. It's an item that can add a lot of interesting encounters into the game, as adventurers discover the souls waiting to be released from their paper prison.
